Milwaukee Public Schools will host two community forums on Thursday to introduce the three finalists for the superintendent position. The candidates are Brenda Cassellius, former superintendent of Boston Public Schools; Joshua Starr, former superintendent of Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland; and Andrae Townsel, current superintendent of Calvert County Public Schools in Maryland. Each candidate will present their vision and goals for the district, followed by a Q&A session moderated by leaders from HYA, the superintendent search firm. Community members can provide feedback via a QR code after the presentations. The school board aims to make a decision by late February or early March, with the new superintendent’s contract expected to begin on July 1.
