Central Texas schools are showing improvement following the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a new analysis by Children at Risk. The report highlights that while many schools are making progress, particularly those serving economically disadvantaged students, there is still significant work to be done. Robert Sanborn, president and chief executive of Children at Risk, noted, “Overall, right after the pandemic, we saw this sharp decline,” emphasizing the need for continued support. The analysis awarded 50% more schools with Gold Ribbon status, indicating that these campuses are outperforming their peers.
