Ocoee schools get speed cameras for safety

The Ocoee Police Department is set to enhance safety in the school zone at Citrus Elementary School by implementing speed-detection cameras. The initiative aims to “reduce crashes, slow down drivers and raise awareness in school zones,” as stated in a Facebook post from the city. The initial phase will serve as a warning period until March 24, after which violators will incur a $100 civil violation for speeding.
