Four teachers from YES Charter Academy in Yuba County showcased their artificial intelligence (AI) pilot project at the Computer History Museum on March 18. The educators, Samira Jahani, Pippa Fuschich, Remi Santiago, and Leeta-Rose Ballester, participated in the Artificial Intelligence Exploration Community hosted by Silicon Schools. Their project, part of the Magic School program, provides students with immediate feedback on their writing. Principal Louise Miller stated, “YES teachers are at the cutting edge of integrating technology into their instruction,” emphasizing their role in preparing students for future success. The event also featured a session by Alison Lee from The Rithm Project, focusing on the importance of human connection in an AI-driven world. YES Charter Academy offers hands-on learning for transitional kindergarten through 9th grade.
