The trustees of the Sausalito Marin City School District have voted to approve a two-year contract extension for Superintendent LaResha Huffman, with the 3-2 vote coming in the face of criticism of Huffman’s leadership from parents and teachers. A no-confidence resolution brought last year by the Sausalito District Teachers Association was backed by 92% of members, citing alleged misrepresentation to the board and the dismissal of staff priorities regarding professional development. Board president Caroline Tiziani said community concerns had been “sincerely expressed”, and the board is “committed to addressing them”.
